Pls answer: What is PRESS FREEDOM ???

What is Press Freedom?

-- Sitting on piles and piles of newspapers to ensure that they are not distributed.

-- Hijacking printed papers to ensure that readers are barred from being informed.

-- Boasting of doing a great job by making a joke of working journalists by discouraging them by barring newspapers from delivering.

NOW should I take the courage to say that only a genuine journalist understands how he/she struggles the whole day for a piece of news. And imagine what he/she feels when his/her hard work goes astray the other day!!!

GOT my point? If not, damn it!!! After all this is the common trend. It is a human nature. YOU keep on ignoring minor stuff...BUT remember you will be compelled to understand when you come across the same situation.

NOW, allow me to ask a question, which could be "bitter" to those who are ideologically a supporter of press freedom, but practically a blatant critic of press freedom.

Question: When will the time come when a Nepalese journalist can work in a professional way...without hinderances...without pressures...without political intervention...without threats...without ....?

I am sorry if my question is absurd for a person like YOU.
